Google and Amazon doesn’t publicize the fact but you can use their smart speakers without having your every voice command recorded as you’d expect, it’s not the default option.

Here, I am going to tell you the process by which you can stop these companies snaffling all your personal info and storing it on their servers indefinitely.

If you have multiple Google and Amazon accounts, you’ll need to tweak these settings for each one.

Following Steps To Stop Google Recording Your voice.

Step 1: At first open your browser and search for Google’s Activity controls site.

You can also find a link to this portal via the Google Home app. Press the Account icon, then tap My Activity. This will takes you to the site on your phone.

Step 2: Scroll down to Voice & Audio Activity and use the toggle to turn it off. Google warns that doing so ‘may limit or disable more personalized experiences across Google Services’ but this generally won’t affect how your smart speaker operates. Click Turn On, then click Manage Activity.

Step 3: You can delete each day’s recordings by tapping the bin icon or individual recordings by clicking the three dots beside each recorded command and selecting Delete.

Step 3: Switch off Help Develop New Features, then confirm the setting by pressing Turn Off.

Step 4: Now click Review Voice History in the sidebar. This is where your every command is listed. Change the Date Range drop-down menu to display All History, then press ‘Delete All Recordings for All History’.

Step 5: In the pop-up, confirm your selection by clicking Yes.
