Difference Between Standard PC and Gaming PC.

Gaming PC Vs Standard PC.

Fundamentally, there is no difference between a standard PC and a Gaming PC- a PC is just a PC. But it all depends on the tasks which you want to perform on that PC. The factors which decide the PC is for Gaming or not is its Processing power and Graphics card.

In sort: A computer specification like processing power and graphics decides whether a computer is for playing heavy games or it is just for standard tasks. A gaming PC can perform all standard task but your standard PC cannot run heavy games as they require a higher dedicated graphics card for it.

With gaming the key difference is graphics. What you call a standard PC is, of course, able to display graphics: the very basis of Windows is that it is a graphical operating system. However, the latest games make much heavier visual demands, and those are served only by the dedicated graphics hardware. A computer has to do a lot of tasks at the same time to run a heavy computer game and for this, they need high processing power and a better Graphics card.

A ‘standard’ PC relies on so-called ‘integrated’ graphics. Many PC processors also include graphics facilities, all on the one chip. This keeps things simple for computer manufactures and reduces costs.

Integrated graphics are fine for Windows, and even for simple gaming needs- Solitaire will run perfectly well, for example. However, by nature, integration limits how advanced the graphics can be. For series visual oomph, a PC needs a separate (or discrete), dedicated graphics card – like the current top-of-the-range Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti (view on Amazon).

The two big companies that manufacture graphics card for PC are AMD and Nvidia. Here is the list for their graphics cards base on increasing order of performance.

Such discrete cards have graphic's chips that run incredibly fast and hot, but they also have room for good cooling equipment like fans. And the latest and best games, of course, benefit from the faster, smoother graphics such cards can serve up. However, the pictured MSI GT 710 2GD3H LP DDR3 costs close Rs. 2,899 (view price on Amazon) more than many people would consider paying for an entirely new PC!

There may be other differences, too, including keyboard layouts optimized for gaming circles. But we’ll return to where we came in. A PC is a PC. A ‘standard ‘ the model will run games, though perhaps not the most demanding titles, just as a PC designed for gaming also happily run Windows-so you should choose the ‘type’ that suits what you want to do.
