Microsoft Released Android App for Excel, Word, PowerPoint & More.

Microsoft Office Android App

Microsoft has released a new and stable version of the official app for Android users. The Office app combines Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The office app is now available to download from Google Play Store and the app called Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & More. The Office app is around 98 MB in size with 4.5 ratings and it already crosses 50 million downloads on Google Play Store.

Microsoft has been working on this app since early 2019 and the motive of this app is to provide all-in-one solutions for Office app so now users don’t have to download the app for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint separately. After testing the app privately and publicly it is now available in a stable version for the users. But right now, the Microsoft Office app is not supported on tablets and Chromebooks because currently there is no tablet-specific UI.

The new Microsoft Office app for Android allows users to work on Word, Excel and PowerPoint presentations without moving on any other specific apps. The user can search their files and can save them on the cloud-like Microsoft OneDrive or any other third party cloud storage services.

Some key features of the Microsoft Office app: You can create a document by taking a picture of a document and turn it into an editable Word file. By this method, you can easily convert a photo of data into a spreadsheet. You can create your PowerPoint presentation just by using your phone. You can scan QR codes to open links from the Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & More app.

The app is not supportable on tablets and Chromebook and many users on the play store show their concerns over the lack of tablet support. Hence, the Chromebook and tablets users have to stay on the dedicated app for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint separately and all are still available to download from Google Play Store.
