Instagram Web New Feature.

Instagram web for desktop is now finally started supporting direct messages and live steam feature. Earlier these two features were available only for a mobile application but now these two essential feature is available for the desktop website also. It means now the users can send messages or can do live streaming from the web application also.

The Facebook-owned photo-sharing platform rolled out direct messaging support for web version after months of testing from Instagram. They are testing these features to add in the Instagram web since January. They also add ‘Instagram Live’ which means now users can do live streaming on Instagram by using the Instagram web for the desktop versions.

Instagram officially announced the launch of this feature on Twitter, saying users can now “send Instagram Direct messages on desktop, no matter where they are going in the world”, indicating that the feature is now globally available for all users.

The new direct messages option on the Instagram web is the same as that on a mobile app. The option appears on the top right corner of the screen and when you click on the icon, a chat window appears with a similar interface as that of the mobile application with emoji, keyboard, and option to share photos and videos.
