How To Reopen Folders where you left off before a shout-down in Windows.

Whether it’s to complete the installation of a program or simply the result of a crash, restarting your PC is sometimes unavoidable.

One way to ease this irritation is to force Windows to re-open all the File Explorer windows you were using when your PC shut down, particularly useful if you had multiple folders open and were moving files between them.

To make Windows reopen them on reboot, open a File Explorer window (Windows key + E), then click the View tab followed by Options in the top toolbar.

Click on change “folder and search_options”. In the window that appears, select the View tab, then scroll down and tick ‘Restore previous folder windows at log-on’. Now click OK to save the changes.
